About the Course

At the MDA academy students learn designing jewelry with computer using Gemvisiom MatrixGold software. MatrixGold has been developed specially for jewelry designing and is very easy to learn and work with. Also, it is the one of the best computer-aided-design programs for jewelry design that is being taught as the primary software in well-known universities and institutes such as GIA in USA. In this course all the standards and techniques of jewelry making and designing, gem setting, and casting will be taught. Students don’t necessarily need any prior knowledge of jewelry designing or manufacturing and all enthusiastic in jewelry designing can attend this course. The only skill that they need is to know how to work with a computer and handle ordinary tasks in Windows system. At the end of the course students will have the skill and knowledge to design and 3d model almost any kind of jewelry.

FAQ's

Who can take part in the course?

This course starts from the very basics of jewelry design and jewelry concepts, therefore anyone who has no information on designing a jewelry piece can participate in this course. Those who have already attended our Jewelry Design with Computer course or know how to model a jewelry piece in jewelry design software can also take part in this course as it does not contradict or cover the the content presented in those courses. This course is followed by the Advanced Jewelry Concept Design course that offers more detailed information about concept design.

Whom is this course not suitable for?

Those who do not find enough time to practice and review the material presented in class, because learning concept design requires creativity and time to practice.

How is the market for jewelry concept design?

The jewelry concept design market has become quite popular in the past recent years since advanced 3D printers have required more 3D jewelry designers, thus requiring more concept jewelry designers for work.
